Old Man Emu Suspension Kits
Fits 1991-1997 Land Cruiser
Although capable in stock form, the 80 Series Land Cruiser can be greatly enhanced with the addition of an OME suspension system. These suspension system are designed as a complete replacement system, and not just a lift kit.
Not only does the system improve the on and off-road ride, it will also allow you to run a larger tire sizes. Larger tires means you get the drive train further away from damage.
Since this is not just another lift kit, it is essential to match the spring rates to the weight of the vehicle. In order to best match the system to your vehicle please call our sales staff to discuss your application. The kits below were put together to cover the most common situations. However it is possible to swap to springs with different rating if the application dictates it.

Stock Height Replacement Kit
The replacement suspension is used where additional lift are not required. The suspension yields about 0.75" of lift, but this could be more, depending on the condition of the existing suspension. The kit is supplied with OME Nitrocharger shocks that feature
The increase in spring rate over stock improves cornering, load carrying capacity and towing capacity.

Medium Load 2.5" Lift
This is the kit that we install for trucks without any accessories bolted to them. The front springs are stiff enough to support the weight if a replacement front bumper, like the ARB, however with a winch installed, one should upgrade to the next heavier spring rate for the front of the vehicle.
The kit is supplied complete with caster correction bushings to correct the steering geometry and an upgraded steering damper to assist in steering wheel kick back when off-road.
The total lift achieved with this lift is about 2"-2.5"

Heavy Load 2.5" kit
This is the kit that we install for trucks that have a replacement front bumper, winch and rear bumper installed. The spring rates can support 110-250lb additional up front weight and 440lb additional weight in the rear. With the additional weight, the total list will be between 2" and 2.5". If extra carrying capacity is required in the rear, the springs can be replaced with Extra Heavy rear springs that can accommodate up to 880 lb additional weight.
The steering damper assist with kick-back in off-road situations, especially with running over-size tires. The caster kit returns the truck's steering geometry to stock.
It should be noted that if the Heavy Load suspension is used in an application where there are no additional weight on the truck, it could lead to a harsh ride as well as vibrations and handling anomalies.
